BMW E30 M3 Evolution II, example no. 134/500 in color no. 250 Macaoblau Metallic. The car comes from Germany. Its first owner was the well-known German racing driver Johannes Scheid, known to Germans as “Der Herr des Rings,” because throughout his long career he frequently won races and championships in the VLN on the Nürburgring circuit, including the famous 24h Nürburgring. He is currently the owner of the racing team Scheid Motorsport.
The car was kept from new until its purchase by us in the heart of the Nürburgring, in the towns of Kottenborn and Adenau. At the turn of the 80s and 90s, Johannes raced a track version of the M3 E30 model, while this example he treated as a so-called daily car. Paradoxically, in his entire career, this car has only completed a few laps of the “Green Hell,” as Scheid, having racing versions, simply felt it was a shame to drive this example on the track.
As a racing driver, Johannes could not resist slightly adjusting the daily car to his preferences. He installed original Recaro bucket seats made of Kevlar, taken directly from one of his race cars (currently, a complete set of such seats with this history is a true rarity). Additionally, he replaced the steering wheel with a MOMO Corse (of course, we also received the original steering wheel with the car, as well as the original front seats). Furthermore, according to the fashion of the 90s, the car was equipped with a better audio set and a phone holder to make daily use more enjoyable. To improve the driving characteristics, the car was fitted with a complete Bilstein coilover suspension and a sports exhaust system, and a remap of the engine was done (we have a historical printout from the dynamometer confirming a power of 244 PS). The car was also equipped with a complete set of original BBS RS wheels with body-colored rotors and Startec rear lights (in accordance with the fashion of the 90s). All modifications are reflected in the Brief.
Since 2001, the car has been deregistered and was kept under a custom-made cover in a warm garage. An inspection was carried out every year, fluids were changed, and it took a drive to the “Nürburgring Classic” meeting to “air out the cylinders.”
In the car, we found a lot of “period memorabilia,” such as German small coins and pfennigs in the ashtray. Everything is packed in bags and included with the car.
The vehicle has undergone a thorough mechanical inspection and detailing treatments in the form of paint correction and ceramic coating protection.
