Ferrari Testarossa

Ferrari Testarossa – probably the best specimen in Poland and one of the best in Europe. This car stands out not only for its exceptionally low mileage and its condition being almost factory-new, but above all for the extent of work done and the level of care for every detail.
The bodywork retains 100% original paint, which has been completely protected with a clear protective film (PPF) after professional correction. The interior looks practically new, with a mileage of just 22,934 km.
The biggest asset of this specimen is the completed comprehensive mechanical restoration that lasted 18 months. The cost of the work exceeded 200,000 PLN, and the entire process has been thoroughly documented. As a result, the car requires no additional investment and is ready for both use and as a collector's investment.
Even before mechanical restoration, paint correction, and the application of the PPF film, the car received a Classic Data B+ rating. It currently meets all criteria for class A, which represents the highest category of preservation condition for vintage vehicles. The value differences between class A, B, and C specimens are quite significant in the collector market.
Particular attention should also be paid to the history of this specimen. In 2015, it was sold at an Artcurial auction for 150,000 EUR including fees, which at that time was a record price for a Ferrari Testarossa. This was before the full mechanical restoration, installation of electric power steering, and protection of the body with PPF, which includes investments exceeding another 200,000 PLN. Scope of work performed:

• Comprehensive fuel system restoration
  - Almost the entire fuel system has been replaced/regenerated, including:
  -fuel pumps,
  -fuel filters,
  -pre-filters in the tanks,
  -fuel pressure accumulators,
  -pressure regulators,
  -complete set of 12 injectors,
  -fuel level sensor,
  -both K-Jetronic distributors (full restoration),
  -both fuel tanks (dismantling and comprehensive renovation).
  This is one of the most important elements in the Testarossa. After several decades, the rubber components of the K-Jetronic system degrade, and the injectors often lose tightness. This leads to fuel entering the cylinders after the engine is turned off, washing out the oil film, and accelerated wear of the engine unit. Most specimens available on the market have never undergone such a comprehensive restoration.

• Timing system
  - The complete timing belts have been replaced, and high-quality Hill Engineering timing gears, recognized as significantly more durable than factory ones, have been used.

• Engine heads
  The engine was disassembled to the extent necessary for comprehensive head servicing. Among other things, the following tasks were performed:
  -planning,
  -valve and seat grinding,
  -replacement of valve seals,
  -checking guides.
  Replacing valve seals is one of the most expensive yet critically important service operations in several decades-old Ferrari engines. Due to the cost, most owners never carry it out.

• Exhaust system
  The factory exhaust system has been replaced with a Tubi Style sport system from Maranello, considered one of the best available for the Testarossa. As a result, the car fully expresses the character of the naturally aspirated V12 engine.

The original exhaust system has been preserved and is included with the car.

• Comprehensive brake system restoration
  - new discs,
  -ceramic Porterfield R4-S pads,
  -Goodridge brake lines with steel braiding,
  -new brake fluid,
  -complete regeneration of all calipers including replacement of pistons and seals.

• Suspension
  All rubber components of the suspension have been replaced, new or re-galvanized fasteners have been used, and all components have been cleaned using dry ice.

• Electric power steering
  The car has been equipped with EZ Electric Power Steering.
  This is one of the most sought-after modifications for the Testarossa. The system operates only at low speeds, significantly improving maneuverability comfort, and at speeds above approximately 50 km/h, it smoothly deactivates. The installation has been done in a completely reversible manner, and it is possible to return to the factory configuration at any time.

• Air conditioning
  The air conditioning system has been fully restored to functionality. The conversion from R12 to R134a has been performed, along with the replacement of the dryer, hoses, and compressor regeneration.

• Other performed works
  -starter regeneration,
  -alternator regeneration,
  -water pump regeneration,
  -modernization of the brake vacuum pump,
  -regeneration of the torsional vibration damper of the shaft,
  -replacement of engine mounts,
  -replacement of half-shaft shields,
  -replacement of all water, oil, and vacuum lines,
  -replacement of all clamps with marine-grade stainless steel,
  -replacement of all engine gaskets,
  -new spark plugs,
  -new battery,
  -modern Blaupunkt Frankfurt RCM 82 DAB radio in retro style with Bluetooth,
  -new Alpine speakers.
  This is just the most important items from a very extensive service documentation.

This is an exceptional specimen for a collector who expects a car at the highest possible level. The scale of works performed, the maintenance of full original paint, low mileage, and complete service history make this one of the most refined Testarossas currently available on the market.
